Standards, in plain English.
Independent accreditations verify that a contractor runs the processes it claims to. Here are the standards RP3 holds — and what each of them actually means.

What to look for in any rail M&E contractor.
Procurement teams evaluating rail M&E contractors are looking for three things: independently-audited quality processes (typically ISO 9001), a documented health and safety management system (ISO 45001), and — for LU work specifically — either RISQS assurance or LU-approved supplier status.
Environmental and cyber-security accreditations (ISO 14001, ISO 27001) are increasingly expected on larger frameworks. Where any of these are missing on a supplier's site, ask what the equivalent independent verification is.
