Fire Detection & Suppression
Life-safety systems for stations, tunnels, and control rooms.
Overview
In a tunnel or a crowded ticket hall, the difference between an incident and a disaster is measured in minutes. RP3 designs, installs, and maintains fire detection and suppression systems that meet the LU fire engineering regime — and that will still be understandable by the engineer maintaining them in ten years’ time.
What we deliver
Detection is not just alarm bells. It is the integrated cause-and-effect scheme that decides what shutters close, what fans reverse, which announcements play, and how the station operator sees the incident. Suppression, where designed, protects the rooms that keep the station running — comms rooms, plant rooms, control rooms — with systems that will actually go off when they need to and stay quiet when they do not.
Where this fits in the station
Fire is the discipline nobody wants to test in earnest. We treat every commissioning schedule as the last chance to catch a problem before a real event. See Explore a Station for how fire systems layer through a typical LU station.
